Key to the Rescue Mid's performance is the way it unites a high moment of inertia (higher than a long-iron) with a lower, deeper center of gravity (CG). This allows the Rescue Mid to combine maximum forgiveness on mis-hits with a high launch angle and high spin, producing high, long shots that stop quickly. TaylorMade testing indicates that the Rescue Mid delivers five-and-a-half additional miles-per-hour of ball speed and seven additional yards of distance than their long-iron counterpart (tested by TaylorMade against their own 360 irons).
